SilverGenes
Sparkle Pedigree
We thank Dr. Linda Evans for allowing us to bring her own
dazzling queen, SilverGene Sparkle into
our breeding program. She is scheduled to arrive after she is
confirmed pregnant sometime in March, 2004. (see her beau
below)
You may recognize Sparkle if you are a member of TIBCS and gawked as we
did over the cover photos of the 2003 Spring Bengal Bulletin
featuring Silvers and an article shedding light on the new silvers
by, Harvard-educated physician &
geneticist, Dr. Linda Grissino
Evans.
We feel that Sparkle will greatly
benefit our breeding program by adding outstanding contrast to the
browns and bringing in the finest quality silver lines
available.

Why is this golden boy on the silvers
page???

This brown spotted
boy, Nairobi
Sirocco will play big role in our silver
program!
Sirocco is clearly
a Brown Spotted Tabby even though his sire is a silver. He
does not carry silver, since he, himself isn't silver, he
can never produce a silver unless he is bred to a
silver. Silver is dominant, if you don't see it, it's not
there. Genetics 101 The beauty of a brown spotted
tabby from a silver lies in the beauty of their head turning
clarity. Because of the crisp clarity, Sirocco will be an
ideal candidate for our silver and brown programs. After all, s
ome of the finest silvers out there have a brown spotted or brown
marbled parent. Same goes for the browns, I think we can all
agree, Calcatta's Custom Made
is a breathtaking an inspiration to us all and he was
sired by the incredible Silvergene Splendor of Starbengal.
