Etché Bengal Cats is proud to provide superior quality wild looking Bengal leopard cats and kittens to the southeastern United States and
worldwide. We are located in Jacksonville
(Northeast Florida) Convenient to Orange Park, Ponte
Vedra, St. Augustine, Gainesville, Daytona, Lake City, Fernandina,
Palm Coast, Palatka and Tallahassee. At Etché Bengals, our goal is
to work on improvement with this wonderful breed in each
litter by creating the best possible Bengals from
champion lines conforming to the TICA Bengal Standard with
irresistibly animated personalities as affectionate
pets, guaranteed breeders and promising show cats to suitable
new homes.

the gorgeous Silver Bengals is
favorable not only for their own inherent beauty but also to achieve
the clear contributions they have made to the Classic Leopard
Bengals as seen in Calcatta's Custom Made who was sired
by the stunning, Silvergene Splendor of
Starbengal. Naturally, with their champion
lineage , they are gorgeous, but we feel as with any living
creature, the most important thing for our cats is that they are
happy and healthy. We provide a natural environment for these
extremely agile cats to monkey around in with plenty of cat trees
and high shelves inside and out. We also give them plenty of
individual attention so they know how beautiful and/or handsome and
equally special they are to us

Living in Florida, we and the
cats are especially grateful for
Revolution to
prevent fleas, heartworm, earmites and other parasites!
Our Bengals have a sense of freedom in our home and a
screened/fenced in and partially closed in exercise run attached to
the master bedroom. The exercise yard/play yard provides plenty
of things to do, including a little jungle-like area that they can
romp around in, cozy cat tubes to hide in branches and shelves to
climb on and an observation deck they can jump on for a better
view. Now they even have a beautiful new fountain my father
(the original cat lover) contributed for our
enjoyment. Fortunately, in years of inside and outside pets, we
have never had any problems with toxic plants but please use
caution with the greenery your cat has access to. Since
learning that Elephant ears could be harmful if eaten by cats,
we have removed them and replaced with different CAT SAFE PLANTS.
 
Etché Bengal's carefully researched
selection allows us to carefully match our sires and
dams from champion bloodlines preserving the beauty of their
Asian Leopard Cat Heritage to create
kittens with sharp contrast, brilliant colors and silky spotted
pelts all wrapped up in extremely intelligent, fun loving
and friendly domestic sized house
cats.
  
Etché takes
pride in hand raising every Bengal kitten, concentrating
on socialization, health and happiness of each one. Because we are
small, we have time to give each cat individual attention it needs
so that our cats will make lovable pets more
entertaining than the Discovery channel!
   
The
most important thing when choosing their diet is to is to READ
THE INGREDIENTS. We prefer to use foods that don't contain BHA
or BHT or other harmful preservatives that are often
found in even some of the "premium" more expensive cat foods.
We have tried just about every premium food on the market and
have discovered that of all the premium foods, Life's Abundance has
the best ingredients, is economical and is their all time favorite!
 
We supply a starter pack with our kittens but if you wish to
order Life's Abundance, we believe in it so much that I have become
a field representative and would appreciate it if you mentioned
that Julie Venobre from Etché Bengals referred you if you
order by phone. To assure that all of our cats remain healthy and
get proper nutrition, we feed them the healthiest cat foods
available. We feed Etché kittens and adults Life's Abundance dry for their free choice food and for the moist, they
get Nutro Natural Choice since they love
the gravy and never seem to get tired of it. Etché's kittens,
first build their immune systems as long as their mother allows with
mother's milk then they gradually start eating solid foods at
their own pace.
  
We very much enjoy playing with our cats so
they get plenty of exercise and entertainment. Patrick and I work
from home so we spend our time with the cats and they are very
rarely without human contact. They like their afternoon cat
naps and stampeeding through the house. The males have a large
fenced in cat containment area outdoors
but the females have free roam of the entire
house and their own play yard so they can see and hear the birds and
squirrels in the day and hear crickets and frogs at night.
When they are outside, they play as if they were back in the
jungles their ancestors once roamed.

for HCM at University of Florida, College of Veterinary
Medicine's Sixth Annual Florida Cat
Conference and the results have
been posted on bengalcatgenes.com in the Bengal Genetics HCM
Database where conciencious
breeders can view
them.
